1.Advantages
Incorporating glass fibers (typically 15-50%) dramatically boosts PBT's mechanical properties.
Tensile strength, flexural modulus (stiffness), and creep resistance are significantly increased,
often doubling or tripling compared to unfilled PBT. This allows thinner wall designs while maintaining structural integrity
under load. Dimensional stability improves, reducing warpage and shrinkage, crucial for precision parts.
Heat deflection temperature (HDT) also rises substantially, enabling use at higher continuous operating temperatures.
2.Applications
Essential for high-strength components in circuit breakers (housings, arc chutes, operating mechanisms),
