UL746C F1 Polycarbonate for Outdoor LED Street Light Housing and Lens

Outdoor LED street lights, tunnel lights and floodlights exported to North America need to meet UL94 flame requirements as well as UL746C F1 outdoor weathering standard, which is often overlooked by lighting OEM manufacturers.

UL746C F1 rated PC passes UV aging and water immersion tests. Under long-term sunlight, rain and temperature fluctuation, lamp housings and lenses resist yellowing, cracking and haze increase. The material can achieve UL94 V0 flame retardancy and high IK impact resistance. It can be injection molded into integrated lamp housings and optical lenses to replace glass and reduce breakage during shipment.

Ordinary UV stabilized PC without UL746C F1 yellow card cannot pass North America end-product UL certification even if aging performance looks acceptable in short-term test. UL746C F1 PC comes with UL yellow card, and material data can be checked directly in UL database, which greatly simplifies certification for lighting manufacturers.
